In our last issue, it was reported that an implementing agreement was reached with the CP, contingent on its securing STB authorization to assume control of KCS operations.  The Agreement was further predicated on CP modifying or consolidating work performed by its DM&E employees and certain identified KCS employees (including the GWWR). That agreement was finalized but has since been cancelled by CP.

CP has determined it does not anticipate any immediate action to modify or consolidate work among the employees in question.  As noted, the Agreement was also contingent on securing STB approval, which also has not happened yet, and may not.  That decision is not expected for another few months.  Should there be future changes where this issue is concerned, and there very well may be, this committee will promptly update those affected.
