In the summer of 2024, a temporary contracting agreement was reached with CP/KC. Under the terms of that agreement, a small group of contractors were allowed to work on the International Freight Gateway and Knoche Yard projects in the greater Kansas City area for a period of around 6 months. That agreement is set to expire on March 31, 2025, and there are currently no discussions about a possible extension. Accordingly, all contractors should be off the property as of April 1st, and employees should receive their final payment under Section 4 of that agreement within two weeks of termination of the agreement. If you do not timely receive your final payment, or if you witness contractors on property after the agreement terminates, please reach out to your Local Chairman or a General Committee officer.
