  • Early Start to DTO Bargaining
    Posted On: Apr 02, 2025

BRS members on the DTO received their final 4% raise under the current CBA on January 1, 2025.  Under the terms of Article 3, the parties are precluded from serving notice of intent to amend the CBA until October 1, 2025.  However, in our January meeting with DTO senior management and DTO designated counsel, it was determined to be advantageous to both sides to begin bargaining over our next agreement as soon as our schedules allow.

From our perspective, this is an important change from the handling last round as it will enable us to more thoroughly leverage our local officers in the negotiating process.  And that is precisely what we intend to do.  Our first in person bargaining session with DTO is tentatively scheduled for the final week of May.  We gathered some initial input from local members at the January meeting regarding priorities for this round and intend to do the same at the next local meeting.  Please attend your local meeting to enable maximum participation in this round of bargaining.
