The DTO Agreement was approved with a clear majority voting in support of ratification. The votes were tallied, and the Agreement was implemented at the end of January 2023. There was a phenomenal participation rate in the voting process with around 95% of the members returning ballots. It was great to see such a high participation rate in this ratification process.
The new pay rates were put into effect immediately. The retroactive pay and signing bonus were promptly paid out by the Carrier in the early part of February.
This Agreement was a win that we can all be proud of. It contains many improvements in wages and benefits without any major life changing concessions on our part. While it doesn’t include all that we wanted, the reduced 3-year term means we will be back to the table to seek more sooner rather than later.
