  • MRL - Changes in Pay Dates and Flex Time Accrual
    Posted On: Oct 02, 2023

The committee recently solicited feedback from MRL members regarding a possible change to both the dates members are paid and a change to the date upon which annual Flex Time allotments are credited.  Pursuant to the favorable feedback received, beginning in 2024 MRL employees will be paid on the 10th and the 25th of each month, pending final approval by the Non-Op coalition.

The changes to the Flex Time program will result in flex days being credited on January 1 of each year instead of November 1, as it currently stands, and this begins on 1/1/24. Under the previous framework, members often cashed out remaining days not taken as of November 1 in December of each year.  Under the amended handling, that same option will be preserved and any employee who elects to cash out days prior to year’s end can opt to do so between November 1 – November 10 and receive payment on their second half November paycheck.  Members will also retain the payout option for days not used by December 31, or cashed out in November, and that payment will continue to be received by March 1 of the following year.  These changes are contingent on final approval of the other Unions in our Non-Ops coalition.
