  • MRL Pay Dates/Flex Changes Reminder
    Posted On: Jan 08, 2024

As a reminder, all former MRL members will have their pay dates adjusted to the 10th and the 25th of each month, beginning in January 2024. The effect of the change is that you will be paid for work performed 5 days sooner than you were under MRL handling.  This change was approved overwhelmingly by our MRL members last fall and was approved by the remaining Unions in the Non-Op coalition shortly thereafter.

The changes to the Flex Time program were also approved by the coalition in the fourth quarter of 2023.  As a result, your flex days for 2024 should have been credited to you by BNSF on or around January 1, 2024.  Those should be available for use immediately.  As previously reported, the former MRL option to cash out days prior to year’s end has been preserved.  Any employee who elects to cash out days prior to year’s end can opt to do so between November 1, 2024 – November 10, 2024, and receive payment on their second half November paycheck.  Members will also retain the payout option for days not used by December 31, or cashed out in November, to be paid out the following year.
