As indicated in Rule 46 H, “the daily allowance for employees assigned to mobile crews, while working on their home seniority district, will be adjusted semiannually on June 1st and December 1st.” The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for April 2023 was 886.847 and the October 2023 CPI was 899.779.  Therefore, effective December 1, 2023, the daily allowance will be as follows:

0 – 200 miles:

a)   $35.50/day for 5-day work week

b)   $44.35/day for 4-day work week

Over 200 miles:

a)   $35.50 per day for 5-day work week, plus $2.82 daily rate for each additional 25 miles over 200.

b)   $44.35 per day for 4-day work week, plus $2.82 daily rate for each additional 25 miles over 200.

Rule 48 E Adjustments

Effective December 1, 2023, the daily additional compensation for employees assigned to signal construction crews while working off their home seniority district will be $44.35.
