As indicated in Rule 46 H, “the daily allowance for employees assigned to mobile crews, while working on their home seniority district, will be adjusted semiannually on June 1st and December 1st.” The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for September 2025 was 947.640 and the April 2026 CPI was 972.667 Therefore, effective June 1, 2026, the daily allowance will be as follows:
0 – 200 miles:
a) $38.35/day for 5-day work week
b) $47.95/day for 4-day work week
Over 200 miles:
a) $38.35 per day for 5-day work week, plus $3.05 daily rate for each additional 25 miles over 200.
b) $47.95 per day for 4-day work week, plus $3.05 daily rate for each additional 25 miles over 200.
Rule 48 E Adjustments
Effective June 1, 2026, the daily additional compensation for employees assigned to signal construction crews while working off their home seniority district will be $47.95.
